[ARCHIVED] Nacogdoches City Travel Notice

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Nacogdoches City Streets have become impassable and completely

iced over at this point. There are no streets inside the City limits that are travelable at this time. If

you think you are going to be traveling from one place to another, be advised that Nacogdoches

Police may not be able to assist you as they are being put in danger by cars sliding on roadways.

Although, not all roads have barricades, keep in mind that they are very dangerous to pass over.

If you become stranded on the road, it may become difficult for law enforcement to reach you

due to icy roadways they are unable to travel on as well, so it is best for you to just stay home at

this time. If you are staying in a hotel that has lost electricity, it is best for you to stay at the

hotel due to hazardous travel and COVID restriction on capacity at available shelters.

We are expecting another round of precipitation tonight, mainly freezing rain and ice,

that will further impact road condition. Unless there is an emergency, please stay home to ensure

the safety of yourself and others.
