Project Lifesaver
Since 2009, The Nacogdoches Police Department has partnered with the Nacogdoches Pilot Club to administer the Project Lifesaver Program for persons suffering from dementia and Alzheimers.
The program is funded and maintained by the Pilot Club, with NPD serving as the responding agency. Clients of the program are fitted by club members with a radio transmitter bracelet, that may be tracked in the event the person wanders. The NPD maintains the tracking equipment, client information and trained operators. Persons interested in the Project Lifesaver Program may contact any member of the Nacogdoches Pilot Club.
