Seed Library
We're pleased to announce a new feature of the library, a sharing repository of seeds that may be “borrowed” by any library patron for free. Seeds will be supplied from donations, eventually from plants that result from borrowed seeds. The seeds will be cataloged along with user and distributor information on growing and harvesting each seed variety. The goal is to help preserve our agricultural heritage, share knowledge, and benefit local farmers and gardeners, both experienced and novice.
Library of Things
Our collection now includes nontraditional library items, such as, board games, telescopes, STEAM backpacks, baking pans, small gardening tools, hotspots*, webcams, and classroom book kits for teachers. We are adding to the collection all the time. Come see the many options for borrowing.
*Hotspots were made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and Texas State Library and Archives Commission. (Grant #LS‐246561‐OLS‐20) (2021)
