You will need your valid Judy B. McDonald Public Library card to access these databases. In some cases, you may need an additional login or password. Please call the library staff at (936) 559-2970 or email us at askalib@nactx.us for assistance.

Downloadable eBooks & eAudio Books

Downloadable eBooks and eAudio Books are available for free check-out! You never incur any library fines. Works on most devices. Books check out for two-weeks but you can return them anytime! We also offer classes on eReaders and smart phones if you need help using this service. 

Easy Steps for most mobile devices:

  1. Download the free Libby app from your device's app store
  2. Enter your library barcode. It must begin with either 31698, or 21698. Call us if you need help.
  3. Locate your library. Hint: type your home zip code and Nacogdoches Public Library will come up.
  4. You should now see the NPL collection of Overdrive items.
  5. Choose up to 5 items in any combination of eBook or eAudio book.

TexShare Databases

TexShare Databases are provided in part by Texas State Library & Archives Commission. The collection of databases includes genealogy, arts & crafts, home improvement, history, medical and much more. Scholarly magazines and journal articles are available on this website. The Learning Express database includes GED, SAT, ACT and vocational exams. Please contact library staff for your username and password.
